Strategies

Success does not just happen. Accomplishments do not just drop out of the sky. Fulfillment in life results from well planned strategies. Then with well purposed commitment those strategies are implemented.

Our loving Heavenly Father had a desire for fellowship with man. Those who are students of the Bible have witnessed dynamic strategies that have fulfilled His desire. Even when Adam and Eve messed up God’s plan for a sustained loving relationship with man, God still incorporated new strategies. These strategies resulted in the coming of Christ, his complete and finished work of the redemption of man and finally making available the new birth realities that we have today as sons of God.

Thankfully any person who believes God’s Word can get saved (born again) with incorruptible seed and become a child of God with an inheritance like that of the lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 10:9:
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

I Peter 1:23:
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Romans 8:14-17:
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

God’s enemy, Satan, was not finished fulfilling his desires after his success with Adam and Eve. Knowing God was not going to stop moving ahead, the devil has implemented more strategies to steal, kill and destroy God’s plans.

In spite of his future destruction, Satan continues to attack the family of God. He has set up certain strategies to accomplish his mission. Thankfully our Father has provided us with His spirit that is greater than the devil.

I John 4:4:
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

God has given us the victory in Christ and has enabled us to deal with the adversary using the power of the holy spirit.

Ephesians 6:10 & 11:
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles [methods] of the devil.

Below is a strategy chart identifying some of the adversary’s strategies. Also listed are strategies we can utilize as sons of God with power to combat the adversary.

Strategies of the Adversary Strategies of the
Born Again Believer
  1. He is subtle (crafty), tricking believers to:
      A. Question the integrity of God’s Word.
      B. Consider error and respond to it.
      C. Mishandle God’s Word.
      D. Act by the 5 senses instead of what God says.

(Read Genesis 3:1-6)

  1.  He is cunning and sly in trying to corrupt the mind of the believer.

II Corinthians 11:3:
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

  1. The god of this world has great influence regarding the things of this world. He also blinds the minds of people so they cannot recognize the good news of Christ.

II Corinthians 4:4:
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

  1. He makes himself appear as an angel of light.

II Corinthians 11:14:
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

  1. According to the parable of the sower the adversary:
      A. Takes the word away from those who do not understand it.
      B. Uses tribulation and persecution and offends the person who has no root in himself.
      C. Uses the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches to choke the Word of God. The person does not see fruit.

(Read Matthew 13:18-23.)

  1. Read God’s Word much so you will have it in your mind to use like Jesus Christ did when he spoke to Satan: “It is written.”

(Read Luke 4:1-12 & Hebrews 4:12)

  1. Control your thoughts on who you are in Christ as a son of God.

II Corinthians 10:5:
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

  1. Arm yourself with the same mind as Christ.

I Peter 4:1:
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

  1. Exercise your power of attorney using the name of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 2:9-11:
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

  1. Put off the old man and put on the new man which is created in righteousness.

Ephesians 4:22-24:
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
