Virtually everyone has somebody they look up to, that they identify with as
their hero or example. For us today the star in our life is the lord Jesus
Christ. Though, there are many “clouds of witnesses” (Hebrews 11) to look
at, there is not one quite like the lord Jesus Christ (Hebrews 12:1 and 2)!
To know him is to tap into the more abundant life in all its facets. To
identify with him is to bring the promises of God into our lives.
Philippians 3:8 and 9:
Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of
the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of
all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law,
but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of
God by faith.
No friend, no musician, no politician, no actor, no historical figure, no
hero of any kind, has accomplished for us what Jesus Christ has.
When we believe on the lord Jesus Christ we cannot lose. Our trust is in
the one who so freely gave that we might be made the righteousness of God in
him.
II Corinthians 5:21:
For he hath made him to be sin [a sin offering] for us, who knew no
sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Sometimes our friends may forget about us. At times special people in our
lives may let us down. But, nobody, absolutely nobody, has been disappointed
when they believed on the lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 10:11:
The Scripture says, no man who believes in Him – who adheres to, relies on
and trusts in Him – will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed.
(The Amplified Bible).
Let’s make the decision each and every day of our life to make the lord
Jesus Christ the star of our life.

I John 3:19-22:
And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts
before him.
For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all
things.
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence
toward God.
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments,
and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
