Christianity is a relationship instead of a religion.
We have reduced a blessed family fact to a religion, and so robbed it of
its most beautiful features.
Christianity is God’s ideal of a family, a great household, ruled by
love.
Every child is honorably born into the family. Every child has the witness
of his relationship.
Every child is a “wanted child” and there is great rejoicing over his
birth, he is welcomed by the Father.
Every child has an inheritance. Every child has all the privileges of the
family.
Every child has his work and responsibilities.
Every child has a right to go to his Father any time he wishes for anything
he may need, to fellowship or visit.
God is the great Father--God to His family, and every child is precious to
his great Father’s heart.
The church is the eternal purpose of God manifested as a family and as his
family, to the world.
The gospel or Good-news is that all men may come into this family through
Jesus Christ.
Being saved from sin is a great thing, a wonderful blessing, but it does
not compare to being a part of the family of God.
To overcome sin is a wonderful feat, but not so great as to please the
Father.
To keep pure is to be desired above many things, but to make the heart of
the Father glad is of greater importance.
To be a good child is to be coveted, but to be a useful one is far better.
If you are not His child, you may become a member of His family at once.
Romans 10:9 & 10 tells you how – If you will confess with your mouth
that you will take Jesus as your Lord, and believe in your heart that God
raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.
Do it now. He is watching over this Scripture to perform it in your life.
He will impart His nature to you, and you will become entitled to His care and
protection as your own Father--God.
