No other desire or purpose in life that has ever been expressed to the
benefit of all mankind can compare to God’s great desire for human beings.
Man’s most worthiest resolution pales to God’s desire that all men be
born again with the eternal gift of holy spirit and come to the precise
knowledge of the Truth.
I Timothy 2:4: (Amplified Bible)
Who wishes all men to be saved, and [increasingly] to perceive and
recognize and discern and know precisely and
correctly the [divine] Truth.
No greater event exists for man, than to be saved from death and to be made
whole and complete with God’s eternal spirit.
Logically, if you were dead and without God at one point in your life and
then someone shared the truth of God’s Word with you and you believed, and
you were born again, you would want to be involved in doing God’s will. All
other purposes pale to the decision to dedicate our life to function in the
One Body of Christ.
As sons of God we are in the family business with our Heavenly Father. So
the greatest purpose in life that we could ever have is to do His will. As we
saw from I Timothy 2:4, God’s will is that all men get saved and come to a
precise and correct knowledge of God’s Word. Within the One Body of Christ
we have a great wealth of God’s Word rightly divided. Let’s be thankful
first and then get excited to do our part in the moving of God’s Word over
the world.
