Resurrection Appearances of Jesus Christ During
The Forty Days He was on Earth
According to the Scriptures we know that Jesus Christ died at the exact time of the Passover sacrifice on Wednesday afternoon on the 14th of Nisan. He was in the grave for 72 hours according to Matthew 12:40: “For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” He arose from the dead Saturday afternoon. The first person to see him in his resurrected body was Mary Magdalene on Sunday while it was still dark.

What a glory that must have been to see our lord and savior in his new body. What is even more exciting is that He “shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself” (Philippians 3:21).
