No, Only One

The title above is the answer to the following question that most Christians get wrong. Are the dead alive now? If the Scriptures are correct, no one from Adam that ever died is alive. The only exception is the lord Jesus Christ whom God raised from the dead. Currently he is seated at the right hand of God.

Indeed God's Word is very clear on what occurs when someone dies and they go to the grave.

Genesis 3:19:
In the sweat of they face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Psalm 6:5:
For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks.?

Psalm 146:4:
His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.

In all of history, Jesus Christ was the only exception, having been raised from the dead.

I Corinthians 15:20:
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept.

And not only did God raise him from the dead; but look where He put him!

Ephesians 1:20 and 21:
Which He wrought in Christ, when He raised him from the dead, and set him at His own right hand in the heavenly places,
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

What do we as Christians have to look forward to? Are we going to be stuck in the grave?

I Corinthians 15:22:
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Romans 8:11:
But if the spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His spirit that dwelleth in you.

God's Word is true. He has wonderfully provided for His children, so that when Christ comes back for us we will be raised to "meet the lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the lord." (I Thessalonians 4:17).

I Corinthians 15:57
But thanks be to God which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

I Corinthians 15:52
