There are many stories of people endeavoring to find God and tap into His resources for a fulfilling life.
From God's perspective, He has always desired man to know Him and have a relationship with Him. In fact His great desire is for people to come to a truthful knowledge of Him.
I Timothy 2:4:
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
This is further reflected in a prayer from the epistle to the Colossians.
Colossians 1:9:
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
