Being Persuaded

E-mail Print PDF

They said it would be good for me. But I doubted that taking this tasteless powder that turned into gel when water was added to it, would really help my digestion process. After several testimonies and much reading of the experts, I finally became persuaded to do it. The results were successful.

In the Bible Abraham was visited by God on having a child in his old age. At first he was not persuaded. God’s promise, that he and his wife Sara would have a baby together, was against all odds. Yet, God said it. After some encouragement and talking with the Heavenly Father he became fully persuaded about it.

Romans 4:20 and 21:
He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

When it comes to God’s promises and believing them, one important key in seeing them manifested in our lives is being fully persuaded!

Unfortunately many read their mistrust of man into God. We just need to remember that God is not a man. He does not lie. God is faithful in what He says He will do. God has integrity in all that He says. He is full of love and care to the point that many times He wants it for us more that we want it for ourselves. With these character traits we can be fully persuaded in His declared Word and receive the blessings of God.

Romans 8:38 & 39:
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

How can we build that “fully persuaded” attitude in our hearts so that we can experience believing results? Here are some suggestions:

  1. Confess the Word of God daily in prayer and in your everyday language.
  2. Cast down imaginations and temptations that try to overcome what God’s Word says. (II Corinthians 10:3-5).
  3. “That the communication of thy faith [believing] may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” Philemon1:6. Remember the Christ in you is bigger than your natural self.

Let’s stay fully persuaded on the things of God. We cannot go wrong with God. We do not need to hesitate or hold back. Let’s stay fully persuaded, enjoying the manifestation of the promises of God in our life.

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Proverbs 4:23

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

I Corinthians 15:52
