We owe God everything! No one deserves our praise and adoration more than the Heavenly Father, the Creator of all and everything.
Unfortunately, we being a natural man, are self motivated, self conscious, self adoring and have little time for anything else unless it benefits us.
Our nature is such that we love to be recognized for any good deed that we have accomplished. We all love to be praised.
When you really think about it, even though man acknowledges God and His involvement in the creation of life, any recognition we may give to Him pales to what He has done for us.
If we really believe that the Heavenly Father created the Heavens and earth, then if for no other reason, we should be on our knees constantly thanking Him that we were included in the process.
People take for granted their existence and having such a remarkable physical body. They do that as well with our beautiful world and universe.
It seems for God to get any recognition He has to come down in concretion and part the seas or still the sun before we even give Him a nod of recognition or praise.
For those of us who have witnessed the integrity and accuracy of God’s Word and have seen the magnificence of God’s manifested love, we are immensely grateful for all He has done for us.
We owe God for everything we have, including our breath, existence, all mankind, the animal kingdom, the sky, sunsets and stars to name a few.
Psalm 150:6:
Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
We owe God for everything we have, including our relationships, families, work, play, sense of achievements, struggles and challenges.
We owe God everything we have, including the new birth spirit, eternal life, the hope of Christ’s return and that we will be ever with the Lord.
We owe God with all that we are. We owe Him all of our praise and adoration on every breath.
Psalms 34:1:
I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Hebrews 13:15:
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
The Heavenly Father deserves our praises more than anyone else. Much of the book of Psalms is about the praise God deserves.
Psalms:9:1:
I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
Psalms:57:7:
My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
Out of all that God has created, designed, and given existence to, they all have not the ability to praise Him. The stars cannot say thank you. The earth is without voice. There are no animals or plants that know how to express their gratitude. Only God’s man has the ability to recognize his source of life from God. Man, above all that God has created, is the only being that can say “thank you” and praise the Heavenly Father.
From God’s perspective His primary objective in all that He has done was to bless man. Man is all that God has that would have the potential to respond to Him. “For the LORD's portion is his people;” (Deuteronomy 32:9).
The following Scriptures display God’s passion for taking care of man, elevating him above all else to the extent that he has made the born again believer to the praise of His glory.
Ephesians 1:12:
That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
Of everything that God has done throughout all time, it is the born again believer that He has chosen above all. We are even God’s inheritance!
Ephesians 1:14:
Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Reality is God’s Word manifested. Reality is you and I born again of incorruptible seed (I Peter 1:23). Reality is that we are “seated in the heavenlies,” (Ephesians 2:6). Reality is that some day soon we will see Christ return and we will be given a new body fashioned like unto his glorious body (Philippians 3:21). Reality is that we have eternal life with our Christ and our God!
I Peter 2:9:
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Let’s praise Him for everything that He has done for us. For in everything He is to be thanked.
